Introduction

Harry Bregnell is an independent US experience consultant. He's credited with coining the term dark patterns to describe deceptive user interfaces. A dark pattern is basically a user interface that tricks you into doing something. We were fortunate enough to sit down in person with Harry at his home in Stockholm, Sweden.
