These are just the next level of our color functions. What we have, alpha, saturation, lightness, whiteness, blackness. None of those are currently implemented. And if you actually want to see sort of what is coming, you can go to CSS next. It's like a Babel for CSS and it will try to transpile as much as they can into whatever the current equivalent is.
