The Committee on National Security Is the Only One That Has Held to That Tradition
The committee has a long tradition of by partisanship. It is the only parliamentary committee with classified and security cleared secretariat that can receive and hold classified information. We don't want to have needless partisanship based on politics alone, because that will allow our adversaries to try and separate us and weaken us as a result. On my watch, in the last 12 months, the committee has concluded 22 reports. Every single one of them was unanimous. And we're the only committee that is arly braked by our intelligence agencies to quite a high degree of security classification.
