The Effects of Spaceflight on the Brain

In Earth gravity, the ventricles keep their shape and size just fine. In space, with no gravity to manage the fluid, it tends to accumulate in the head. The study also found that time between missions seems to make a difference. NASA is doing research to try to mitigate the effects of spaceflight on the brain. And they're developing new technologies that could help astronauts stay healthy on long-duration missions.
