The Only Way We Get Knowledge Is Through the Sights
Scholastics argue that the soul is a clean slate when its first infused or imbued and put into us by god, without the knowledge which we are afforded to it by the senses. So e can think of someone sat in a prison, completely dark, whatever. And they have a little window. We can think about that as sight, taste, sound, touch, smell. That's our little window into the world. And everything we know comes through that. Now, one small digression on that, and that is why we have this importance of working while we are here on earth. Because the soul, in the sense that it can't know, learn or do without the senses
