There's a class of children who lead a particularly beautiful life. If we could but see them, we would quickly cease our grief again. Children are very apt to remember their previous life as instance elsewhere. When a child dies before the birth of the desire body, which again is age 14, it does not go any higher than the first heaven because it's not responsible for its actions. Any more than an unborn child is responsible for the pain it causes the mother by turning and twisting in the womb. Therefore, a child has no purgatory existence. That which is not quickened cannot die,. hence the desire body of the child together with the mind will persist until a new birth.
