For foster kids in the us, only three % of them. graduate from college. If you're poor, you're actually more than three times more likely to graduate from college if you spend any time in foster care as a kid. Just knowing that on the first and fifteenth i'm goin to get a pay check was important for me. The other thing is just getting out of the chaos of my early life. I don't necessarily recmend at for everyone but for some one like me who really didn't have much discipline throughout my youth, just being in that environment is good.
