Gunga: A Strange Compliment
Gunga's entire purpose of being there is to kill as many people. He always blindsides you with things like this. There was another moment of the book towards the end that was quite emotionally affecting other it's, it's in preparation or just at the start of a German offensive in 1918 that failed. And then he reached into his jacket coat and I thought he was going to pull out a gun but he didn't - he pulled out a photo of him surrounded by family members.
