Expedia: A Startup That Catalyzed a New Industrial Revolution

Barry Diller made a gigantic offer to buy Expedia and we didn't have much, it was such a good offer. We sold the company and at that point I left and started doing other things. There's a common thread through all of them and that is power to the people. And so Expedia is an instance of a startup that kind of typifies this transparency of information idea. It ended up catalyzing a new industrial, kind of a technology driven industrial revolution in the travel industry.
