Is There a Need for Precision Teaching?
If pupils are struggling to develop quick or even derivative and recall of multiplication facts, what can we put in place to support them? I think by the end of year four, the majority of children should be able to get 25 out of 25 on that MTC. And so I think if we take that as our benchmark, I think what we need to do is simply make sure that we are covering all of our bases every single day. But for those children that then do, you know, I hear like lots of, maybe some negative things about precision teaching.
