Is It a Good Idea to Go for a Midfielder?

I realize and understand their reasons for not recruiting somebody, but we also can't escape the fact that we've been crying out for a midfield for a couple of years. The arronson move in midfield is quite interesting now it's fallen through. And i wonderd then whether the decision was what we'll wait until next summer. We think we've got enough to stay in the preme league, because we finish ninth with the squad we've got. We'll get to next summer and go big on a player that we really want, rather than go for a second or third choice. But then i wonder, and to what extent the january transfer window should be treated as a p r
