How Close Are We to FDA Approval for Kids Under 18?

An industry-sponsored trial to try to support FDA approval of TMS in the treatment of adolescent depression was not successful. The brain changes over the course of development and using an adult dose of TMS on an adolescent may not be the right strategy. There's a need for research on adolescent depression to really understand what is driving depression in the youth.
