In 1862, President Lincoln signs a law that's going to finally make it happen. It stipulates that two companies will build the Transcontinental Railroad. The Central Pacific had a big obstacle in front of them: Sierra Mountain Range. Some people think there's no way the Central Pacific guys can do this.
