Jude: Paul, you've lived I think in China longer than any of us on here and you're still actively engaged through the Carnegie-Chinghua Center with Chinese intellectuals. I wanted to get your thoughts on recent statements coming out of Beijing and what they might pretend for shifts in Chinese strategy. Was that just a response to Biden mentioning Xi in the State of the Union or does this indicate that China has just shifted a gear from third to fourth gear in its approach to the bilateral relationship?
