A larger fraction of european inflation is truly out of their control than is the case for us. Emerging markets that raise interest rates, it can have real consequences in terms of their fiscal sustain ability - which can often be more precarious than the united States. Ultimately, the fed needs to do what's best for the unitedStates. And so it should take that into account in so far as it spills bac om to the United States.
