i wonder how you look at the role of business in this moment and in your longer term efforts. We hear more and more about the imperative for businesses to take positions on social and political issues, but theyre risks for them whatever they do. So i have been hearing from a lot of cos and sa sweet leaders for some time now. I've had a practice consulting with many cos around issues of race and gender bi us for a decade. But i think it's a mistake that leaders make when you don't resource the time for that kind of thinking.

“Hope is a practice. It comes from doing.” As the head of Planned Parenthood, Alexis McGill Johnson is regrouping in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to remove the federal right to safe abortion. Johnson is now faced with the challenge to move her team from tears and shock to action. Any leader faced with a worst-case scenario can learn from her vision: “to fight and stay courageous, and maintain ourselves.”
