Are You Preventing Short-Action Pain Control?
It really comes down to the clinical scenario for your discharge plan and how severe the pain is. So frequently in my practice, I will discharge people on buprenorphine and full opioid agonists. And if I were the primary care or the person prescribing his buprenmorphine, I would definitely want to be in the loop about this because it just seems like it's going to need very close follow-ups.
