The Ghost of Denmark
Marcellus shares that Horatio thinks this thing is in their imagination, even though they have both seen it twice. Bernardo begins his story when a ghost enters. They all shut up and observe the ghost, who, we learn, looks like the dead king of Denmark. Marcellus logics set, because Horatio is an educated man, he should speak to it. He asks the ghost to explain what he is. The ghost does not answer and instead exits.
