When we were shut down out at the Florida operating base on Christmas, I heard dogs barking in the distance. And it was so surreal. It's like, I haven't heard a dog since forever. A dog sounds the same in Afghanistan as it does in Iraq,. As it does in Mali and Anigarish; that is what a dog sounds like period. So he got some of that on Christmas, which is really a big reward.
