Jared Hopworth demanded the book from me in Jared's voice, or loose-fitting trousers and a thick coat with a hood that almost completely covered his face. When he gestured for the book I saw that his fingers looked sharp, as though the skin at the ends were being pushed into a tight point by something inside. He ignored me and demanded again that I give him the book. That was when I did something a little rash, which is to say I punched him. "I had never really thrown a punch in anger before, so it came as quite a shock to me," says Jurgen.
