Is This an Attack on Turkish Society?

Turkey is an enormously influential country in that area of the world right now. It's swinging above its weight class. So why would somebody be attacking it then? Wi would this be a move, if there, if what they're saying has any sand to it? Would thisbe a move to weaken their serenity or gant monyor perhaps?
