The Academic Life

CHAPTER

Are You a Student Who Is Free From Work Obligations?

Ilese: Everything that we do, including down to light this one detail of an assignment due date, is based on a set of assumptions about who our students are and what their lives are like. They're really on this idea of the traditional student. And as my continuing generation students in my research study describe it, they say things like, my only job right now is to focus on school.
