A protect surface is what I call a DAS element. That's an acronym that stands for data that you need to protect anything sensitive assets are run on TCP IP. The third thing we protect are applications that typically run sensitive data, ERP, CRM, HR. And the fourth thing are services,. So I think of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory Network, time protocol, things that are incredibly fragile.
