The Importance of Repentance

Repentance is not so much a turning from vice to virtue, but a turning from both my vices and myself accumulated justifying virtues to Christ. Christian repentance though is different. It's saying look I have two problems. One is I'm deeply self sabotaging and vice-written. But I'm also constantly trying to justify my own existence by all the good things that I do or try to do or show to the world. And then there's the forgiveness bit because we turn away from self to the one who forgives.
