Flash Fiction - What Do You Think About Limits?
French writers felt constraints could be freeing that overtly imposing them as a way to acknowledge the constraints on writing everywhere. Do you find limits similarly freeing? Yeah, I think that is one of the key joys and sometimes frustrations with the form. You know, if you've ever written a tweet, sometimes you just want some more characters or words to fully express yourself. And it's kind of like a sonnet or a haiku or a lot of different poetic forms that have rules. Once you have those limits, you have to start thinking differently.
