The Power of Language

The average person in China needs to know about 3,000 to 4,000 of these symbols. Language is really a developmental tool for our brains and it limits your ability to put more resources into thinking on an intangible or kind of esoteric level. So if I'm spending 80% of my time memorizing thousands and thousands of characters then I'm spending 20% of mytime thinking in a more creative fashion.
