The Mystical Reading of Aristotle

Greek philosophy enjoyed a revival from the second half of the 19th century onwards. It was seen as a common source that influenced both the Oriental and Occidental civilizations. We find them trying to make Greek philosophy directly fruitful for the modern day without referring to Muslim medieval philosophers like Al-Farravi, Avicenna or Avaris.
