The Dead Sea Scrolls and the Jesus Movement

If you were a member of the Dead Sea Scrolls community, you were not allowed to poop on the Sabbath. They also had separated from the Jerusalem temple because they viewed it as having an inadequate understanding of the holiness required by Moses. We have really good evidence that the Jesus movement and the Dead Sea Scroll movement were distinct,. There were some similarities, but they were fundamentally a different movement.
