Yemen's Power Sharing Structure
In April 2020, Saudi Arabia initiates a unilateral two week ceasefire to mitigate the risks of the new coronavirus pandemic. Days later, Yemen records its first known case of COVID-19. In June, the Southern Transitional Council deposes the recognized government in Sakhatra with government supporters decrying the move as a coup d'etat.
