Getting Performance in Julia Compared to Python

Julia is a type language that allows you to have such performance, right? It's in this weird middle ground as far as typing. When you call a function, it's dispatched based on the type of its algorithms. So if it doesn't know the types at compile time, it will still run. There will just be some overhead for that.
