If we're more avoidant, the tolerable step for us is it's going to feel much safer to self-regulate. But I would say that we aren't just like with anxiously attached, we're not actually co-regulating. We want to be exquisitely present to my body and to the experience of joy and pleasure by myself instead of numbing out.
