Tungsten Is Cool, Is It?

A TSA officer pointed out that a man in front of him was carrying lots of tungsten. Tungsten has a very high melting point, which is why it's the filament of choice in light bulbs. "I once carried a meteorite through security and I thought should I declare it in advance," he says. He did this coincidentally on the anniversary of 9/11 at Dulles Airport outside Washington.
