The Tension of Being a Stand Up Comedian
"There's a lot in what you said that I really relate to as a comedian," Judd Apatow says. "The whole challenge of doing a stand-up comedy is getting back to your natural funny self." In clown school, whenever you flop, the thing to do is to acknowledge the flop because then you're not this actor on stage pretending to be something you're or get a reaction from an audience but are yourself.
