The Last Stand - Wounded Knee
Activists stormed the symbolic settlement at Wounded knee, which lies on an Indian reservation in South Dakota. U.S. Marshals and FBI agents poured into the area and surrounded the activists. A siege had begun that would last for 71 days. Russell: "I didn't care nobody in there gave a damn how many people were surrounding us"
