I Don't Expect Hyper Inflation in the United States
Central bankers would really love to see a three % inflation rate per year under the prevailing monetary theory. The idea, as i understand it, is that this is the inflation rate that is ideal to maximise employment and to maximis economic productivity without gett into dangerous inflationary periods. So if an economy is experiencing a 20 % inflation rate, that's a mass inflation, as far as i'm concerned. I don't think i'd be pretty worried about using the term hyper inflation for 20 % per year inflation a but i don't know the term to use.
