The first swingers communities in contemporary North America were these World War II fighter pilots. They had the highest fatality rate of any branch of the military. The men felt like, okay, if I don't survive this, they're more confident that these guys are going to take care of my wife and kids because they've slept with her. It really brought us together as individuals with property as much as groups supporting one another.
