Is There a Conflict of Interest in Science?

Science is an ongoing process ta ovoformation, open conflict. Don't tell me all the stuff that one people, one group of people, think one thing and the other think the other. I want what's the theory. I want to know what's new. i think we're living in a society where that feeds on excitement, but that's not the way things really work out.
