Doping of Semi Conductors in Computers

The band gap in the firme level, but a relatively small band gap, these are called intrinsic semi conductors. That just means that by themselves, without doing anything to them naturally, they are a semi conductor. They'll conduct electricity to some degree, but not as well as a conductor because they don't have as many a readily available slots that the electrons can jump into and move around to conduct electricity. Now you remember i said that one of the requirements for the material that we want to instantiate our addiginal binary codes was the ability to conduct electricity some of the time, or to a moderate degree. Well, we know we've got that withour intrinsic Semi Conductors
