It's important to remember as much as younger, in fact, that he declined an invitation to join the Nazi party and all this stuff. It is because he found the Nazis insufficiently right wing, insufficiently militaristic, insufficiently pure in their spirit of combat. He openly cites this stuff in a way that many of his contemporaries, especially Heidegger, sort of said they didn't understand it. In my mind, it was almost like it's kind of like if you made Ursula Gwyn's Earthsea, but without good politics and good stylism,. But the politics is right there in that thing, bearing wounds unworthy of the sword.
