The Observer Class: A Guide to Standing Apart in Online Platform Politics
I like to talk about the observer class, which to me I think is a core aspect of your book. We kind of consider ourselves as a trying to be an observer class where we try to stand outside of what's happening on platform based politics and really try to map it and figure out what's going on. So I would hope that even in the midst of something that you can sort of make a psychological decision to just slightly unwore yourself from your habitual ways of perceiving whatever is going on in that space.
