The rate limiting factor of maintaining blood pressure and blood volume starts at the kidneys. So why would our kidneys be in control of regulating our blood pressure? It's true, maybe you could make arguments that other factors are coming into play. But we pull that out. Let's just say we've now given our kidneys the control over long-term blood pressure management.
