Lithium gives you more power, faster recharge times and a longer period between charges. The reason to put in lithium is because you want less weight,. That's it. If you've got a bunch of renewables on board, wind, solar, water, that you're never charging otherwise anyway, then you don't need lithium beaus as long as you're not using a lot of power with an induction cooking all this fancy stuff - your batteries are full all the time anyway.
