I've Struggled With the Aton, Given My Racial Background, Ind the Diversity of My Family Background
Roxanne Jones: There's been a lot of rhetoric, even in my own church, around valuing people's cultures and not asking them to adapt or change their cultures. She says she has struggled with the idea that her culture is sacrosant; i shouldn't have to change it. Jones: No matter how you raise your kids, the world is going to see them a certain way. In asmuch as i'll never experience what it feels to be black, my kids do have white parents right now. And that does bring some privilege to the table.
