Democrats split in the predictable direction, so that means it is pretty much telling us what we think it's telling us. The party that has more ideological positions that run afoul of science are the ones who don't want scientists speaking about scientific issues. And this is something that we need to see change. We talk about knowledge deficits and using like social psychology and different persuasion approaches to help improve the effects of science communication.
