Symbols of the Life Cycle

i like to spend a little time on the typical symbols which human beings have produced of the life syce. These usually embody the notion of ascent and descent and the cycle. The self, as it goes through these stages, is itself evolving. Whether or not we are actively, consciously participating in our individuation, the self grows whatever we do about young.
