The Role of Foreplay in Platonism

Socrates says he's happy to hang out with Homer and all these, you know, cool poets and people. And even says stuff like, why would I fear death? But Socrates sort of goes on to point out that my goal was just to help you guys think rightly and live rightly. So in other words, again, we see that foreplay, dope, platonic philosophy, metaphysics and ethics are intimately bound up together.
