The Importance of Balance in Rousseau's Discourse
Rousseau talks about the corrupted foodstuffs that we eat, and how these corrupted foodstuffed make us obese. So I like to use that as a segue to talk about how he anticipates this whole problem of junk food and obesity. And then I have in once class, I have a student who's super obese, probably on the order of 400 pounds. He's sitting there and you could see the sadness that weighs him down.
