A new point of care test will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A swab is taken from the patient and then put into a machine that tests for candidsyris - an infection caused by contaminated food or water. The results are given to hospital staff who can't tell whether it's positive or negative. This has been 'challenging' in terms of preventing transmission between patients andStaff. In england alone, forty thousand nurse vacancies have been reported earlier this year.
