Kubo Tae and the St. Louis Olympics
Olympic committee president Kubo Tae moved the games from Illinois to Missouri in 1903. He did not have high hopes for it in St. Louis because he had a "presentiment that the Olympiad would match the mediocrity of the town" This was also the second time that the modern Olympics were held alongside an expo.
