How to Build a City for Adventures
If you have a limited number of like quests that they're going on that are in that city, then you don't really have to worry about other things. If you don't have quests, you want to drop quests in front of them. You can spend a little time prepping that out because you know that one player is going to want to go see what magic items are available.
